Unrequited Love

A most foolish path

I chose to pursue

As it leads, alas

To nowhere, but you

So in snippet and rhyme

I reach out in word

Hoping you read

I write to be heard

Still, you ignore 

The words so dear

For their meaning 

Resounds...

All too clear

A dream once imagined,

becomes the story once

foretold...

So beautiful in its essence

So true in its form, left

without end, to begin
