Dear Broken Heart

Guiding with each beat

Thank you for your strength

In loving endlessly

Dear Broken Heart

Bleeding in vain

I admire your courage

In loving through pain

Dear Broken Heart

Brave and free

So beautiful are you

In loving me

Dear Broken Heart

The time has come to mend

For in your vulnerability

I am whole once again

Dear Heart

One with my soul

I love you-

And, will never

let go...

The Mermaid and the Sailor

Gather water 

from the sea

Into a bucket,

for you and me

Onto the land, 

let it go

Back to the tides-

 ebb and flow

For there...

 is where our love

resides

In ocean waves

 and summer tides

There- 

beneath the moon

so bright

We become one...

As our souls unite

His love is the sea

residing within

Hers is the heart

beating in him

Mountains to climb

Oh, my dear heart

Now is the time

Once...

I knew the path

Seen so clearly

I needed no map

A foolish quest

I did endeavor

Believing myself

Oh so clever

Alas, life-

Showed roads

unseen

Took my hand

Led blindly

in dream

Now...

I follow a path 

seen less clear

As I listen to 

the beat

of my heart 

so dear...

Once Upon a Time

We were but a chapter- 

in which to begin...

Mere words in a story

A tale without end

Wished upon starlight,

dreamt beneath the moon

A happy ever after-

written too soon...

Awoken at last- within my sleep

For it was only in dream

Did I finally see...

You flew away-

yet, it is I... whose free

Deep beneath the dark, vast

ocean blue...

I grew weary, drowning- 

in thoughts of you...

So like the Phoenix

Soaring on high

I too shall soar,

shall touch the sky

In search of hope,

in search of light

I too will rise

Beyond the night
